Hello friends!

I am Dustie, the face behind Velvet Rose Photo Company. I found my passion for photography in middle school when I took photography as an elective class in 7th grade thinking it would be an easy pass. I fell in love the first day! I took the class again in 8th grade and was selected to attend a summer course where we would work alongside the photographer for the Charlotte Observer. This would be the event that sparked my passion for photography.

Fast forward to now. I continued to follow a photography pathway into college and have been taking photos of anything and everything since. I first became established in boudoir, and now have a main focus on creative portraits and live music.
